Spinal Injury Care at Your Own Home

At Honeycomb Care, we provide specialist support for individuals living with a spinal injury, understanding that both physical and emotional needs can change over time. Our experienced and expertly trained carers deliver personalised in-home care, helping people manage daily life safely while maintaining independence, dignity and confidence at home.

How Honeycomb Care Helps

The spinal cord is responsible for communicating two way messages to and from the brain to all areas of the body – your muscles, organs and skin. A spinal cord injury occurs when the spinal cord is damaged through illness or injury. This interrupts the messages to and from the brain, leading to partial or full loss of movement in parts of your body, sometimes resulting in partial or complete loss of movement, sensation or independence.

At Honeycomb Care, our experienced team provides specialist in-home care to support the complex and changing needs associated with spinal injuries. This includes support with autonomic dysreflexia, catheter care, pressure area care, physiotherapy exercises, hoisting and mobility, as well as help accessing wider services such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy and district nursing when needed.

We also understand that life after a spinal injury is about more than physical care alone. Our carers provide companionship, emotional support and encouragement, helping individuals rebuild confidence, maintain independence and continue taking part in the activities that matter most to them.
