MD is a progressive condition, which means it gets worse over time. It often begins by affecting a particular group of muscles, before affecting the muscles more widely. Some types of Muscular Dystrophies eventually affect the heart or the muscles used for breathing.
Although there is no cure for MD, treatment can help to manage many of the symptoms, we ensure our carers are experienced in all aspects of caring for individuals with varying needs and diagnosis. Supporting people and their families to feel safe and cared for.
