Often focusing on food can be a way of hiding, disguising or distracting other feelings and problems even from yourself. Eating disorders can affect you in lots of ways that are not just connected to food, which can evoke many difficult and painful feelings for you and your friends and family, which you may be finding hard to express or resolve on your own.
Our carers work alongside individuals who are living with eating disorders and Mental health concerns, supporting them in the community to remain as independent as possible, supporting them with food and fluid intake, with accessing the community, rebuilding social skills and support networks and working with other health professionals in the community so that they are receiving a mutli-disciplinary, holistic approach.
