As part of our assessment process we will create a personal staff team of carers who are highly experienced in the care of those with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). These carers are closely supported and supervised by the management team to ensure that the highest level of care is provided and that they are up to date with any new information, equipment, attachments or medicines that are linked to MND.
We use the
Motor Neurone Disease Association
as one of our sources of information and guidance of any changes or new developments in the research and care of those with MND.
Honeycomb Care use a holistic approach to assess, care plan and regularly review conditions and care needs of those we care for. Involving family and friends in not just the assessment processes but also giving them support should they need it. We understand that when a family member or friend has a condition such as MND this can have an emotional effect and cause worry on everyone involved and it is important those surrounding the individual are well supported also.
We use a multidisciplinary approach throughout all processes to ensure that we are working hand in hand with other health professionals involved in your care; from GPs, Specialist Consultants, Dieticians, Occupational therapists and any other medical professionals who are involved in your care and treatment.
Each client will be assigned a member of the management team as their key worker, who will be in regular contact with the client or their next of kin to review the care plan and encourage an open and comfortable approach to communication.
