Spinal Injuries

At Honeycomb Care we have a team of experienced and expertly trained carers available to support the various physical and mental health needs that an individual can experience when living with a Spinal Injury.
The spinal cord is responsible for communicating two way messages to and from the brain to all areas of the body – your muscles, organs and skin. A spinal cord injury occurs when the spinal cord is damaged through illness or injury. This interrupts the messages to and from the brain, leading to partial or full loss of movement in parts of your body.

At Honeycomb Care our team provide expert care to support you with the often complex needs of Autonomic Dysreflexia, catheter care, pressure area care, physio exercises, hoisting and mobility, support with accessing services such as Occupational Therapy, Physio and District Nurses where appropriate.

We understand the importance of supporting individuals with living life, supporting with companionship, regaining confidence and be able to participate in the activities that are important to you.
